Simple, safe and affordable, Yahoo Personals
is one of the largest and
most widely-used dating sites on the Web. While it lacks the "flash"
of other popular online dating services, Yahoo Personals does all
the basics extremely well, drawing about four million visitors monthly.
Yahoo Personals has greatly improved since
it was established back in 1997. Members are now able to include
voice and video messages, and the new and improved matchmaking system
is a great addition to the site. Plus, the new Yahoo Personals
Premier service offers a FREE relationship test (similar to
eHarmony's) to help members find long-term,
lasting love.
You can sign up for a membership, create
a profile and browse through personal ads for free. Free users can
also reply to messages from members, but aren't able to initiate
contact or use Yahoo Messenger unless they subscribe. If you're
already a Yahoo member, you can sign in and start creating your
profile right away. Non members can register to access Yahoo Personals
and other services offered by Yahoo such as chat, email, etc.
Profiles at Yahoo can be very comprehensive
if users take the time to fill them out completely. But unfortunately,
some descriptions lack detail and profile questions are often left
unanswered (similar to many large, general online dating sites).
