Our Review:
Perfect Match.com is one of the fastest growing online dating and matchmaking services
available with over 3 million members and counting. Perfect Match.com was founded
by the team who pioneered Kiss.com and uDate.com, which were sold
off to Inter Active Corp (Match.com) in 2002.
Similar to eHarmony.com, Perfect Match
is for adults looking for long lasting, meaningful relationships.
Their Duet® Total Compatibility System was co-developed by internationally
renowned relationship authority, Pepper Schwartz, Ph.D. Based on
30+ years of research, the revolutionary Duet® System analyzes each
members Personality, Values and Ideals, Life and Lovestyle™ and
Preferences to identify and find the "perfect match".
Unlike the eHarmony system, you're free to accept matches or do
your own search based on any criteria you choose. Use the personality
search to find people that that match your personality, values and
lovestyle. Or use the custom search tool and create your own personalized
search.
PerfectMatch.com claims to have a membership of 65% women. It attracts
nearly twice as many women-- largely because of its unique set of
relationship tools, and it's encouragemet of self identity, inner-confidence
and personal growth. And because of it's affiliation with Lifetime
TV and other media outlets, it's widely exposed to a large female
audience.
One of the best things about Perfect Match is the massive amount
of “icebreakers”-- which are quick questions you can click and send
to prospective matches for FREE! There’s over forty of them, each
of which offers a quick response so recipients can respond to your
questions.
Of course, not everything is FREE. The only things you don’t get
are direct email and a ten-point profile review from the site’s
relationship experts. Rates vary from $59.95 / month to $249.95
/ year (or about $20 / month).
With all the benefits-- and without the limitations
of eHarmony, you should definitely give Perfect Match a try. And
with more free features than most services, you can "get
your feet wet" without committing to the higher fees. You might
actually find out it's worth the extra money in the end!
